Ma biggest problem with the Vanguard is that they have too many important units and upgrades that do have the wrong weapon type. I guess it was the first faction created and that the creative energy just skyrocketed with the other races. Just a matter of actually using them instead of mindlessly throwing stock units at the AI and hoping to win with sheer numbers.Here are some suggestions of mine for the secret tech units and the vanguard.Īs they are now they are very bland, underpowered and uninteresting in my opinion. There's so many combinations players can come up with. Reactive armour is expensive, but it's not nice taking even more damage trying to destroy the bike which is always hitting the flanks with blinding and armour melting laser attacks. If all options are available, then blind and disintegrator is strong offensively. Adding sequential kill system allows the summoned turrets to inherit the mod ability.īikes: Add at least one laser weapon mod. Nanite injectors for healing or sequential kill system for more damage to round out the unit.Įngineers: Besides the missile turret pack, brimstone launchers gives a long range offensive option.
